Diary of a born again Chocoholic.

I’m not that sure I was ever a chocoholic to begin with – mind you, I have certainly scoffed my share of chocolate bars (most favourite would be cherry ripe….yuuuum!) but I am destined to become one now. Why? Because I have found the most amazing chocolate product that you HAVE  to eat everyday for it to be beneficial and if you are going to eat anything it may as well be good for you!

This chocolate is so high in antioxidants that ill health in the body doesn’ t have a screaming chance. Not just that – it will also help you lose weight (even if you follow the protocol loosely.)

As a side note though this chocolate hasn’t been evaluated by the FDA so no claims are intended to be made to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any ills. But the good thing is it has scientific backing, medical profession backing and also an independant laboratory tests it to ensure the ORAC* value is as stated. The product has been cold pressed (no dutching here), is organic and also the company uses Fair Trade.

So I’ve chosen to consume this chocolate as a lifestyle decision to eat healthier and share the benefits with others who may be in a similar situation.

A bit about my health – over the years I have had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, brittle and splitting nails, digestive issues, humongous tension headaches, problems with sleeping, chronic tension, currently in menopause so hot flushes are rampant, and just lots of little symptoms that aren’t life threatening but just downright annoying!

I want to keep track of any changes that may occur whilst consuming this superfood so that I can positively say “This choc rocks!!!!”

So begins Day 1.
Received my first shipment. I decided to get the shake for breakfast and nuggets for snacks. Was it coincidence that I slept for at least 5 hours before the wake/doze/wake/doze routine set in…
Decided I will go 3 nuggets a day – you might think one nugget as a snack isn’t much but it packs a punch so much so that you don’t really want any more after one.
Wonder if it will make me any more bendy for yoga?

*Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) is a method of measuring antioxidant capacities in living biological samples.
